Hooray for Me, I Got Nominated for Blog of the Year Award 2012!

I know, I am modest, right?

In all seriousness, I would like to thank Alia of Au Naturel Essence for nominating me for the Blog of the Year 2012 Award!  Check out her blog for amazing tips about homemade skin care products, natural products and more!  She even made her own baby balm I mean, come on, really??

Let’s also congratulate her on the recent birth of her son!  Congratulations Alia!

I am very new to the blog world and I am not that familiar with how these types of things work, but my limited research has given me some insight as to what these awards are about.  I think it’s a great opportunity to show your love to the blogs you frequent as well as to broaden your audience at the same time!  It’s also SO nice to know that someone is actually reading your blog and that they actually like it!!  A little confidence boosting never hurt anyone, right?

There are Rules you have to follow and though rules and I don’t normally get along, I am OK with these since they don’t seem to harsh.  One of the cool things about this award is that you don’t just get it once!  You get to collect up to 6 stars!

The Rules for this award are simple:

1) Select the blog(s) you think deserve the ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award.

2) Write a blog post and tell us about the blog(s) you have chosen – there’s no minimum or maximum number of blogs required – and ‘present’ them with their award.

3) Please include a link back to this page ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award and include these ‘rules’ in your post (please don’t alter the rules or the badges!)

4) Let the blog(s) you have chosen know that you have given them this award and share the ‘rules’ with them

5) You can now also join our Facebook group — click ‘like’ on this page ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award Facebook group and then you can share your blog with an even wider audience

6) As a winner of the award — please add a link back to the blog that presented you with the award — and then proudly display the award on your blog and sidebar … and start collecting stars…

Now that the rules are disclosed, it’s time for me to nominate some fellow bloggers for this award:

Pellerini Proclaims

Eggton

Au Naturel Essence

My Healthy Ohana

The Jiggly Bits

Five and Spice

As Alia said, pay it forward!  It’s now your turn to recognize and nominate your favorite blogs!  You might just be making someone’s day by letting them know you are reading their stuff and that you actually like it!  A little confidence booster here and there can’t hurt, right?

Thanks again for the nomination!  Now we get to work on getting all six stars!!
